Brendan D. Towell is a passionate and respected Catholic educator and writer with particular expertise in secondary education. He currently serves as a faculty member and administrator in a private Catholic high school within the Diocese of Camden. He will assume the role of Director of Spirituality & Mission for the Secondary Schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in January 2026.

Brendan’s academic and professional interests center on Augustinian Studies, Ressourcement Theology, and the thought of Pope Benedict XVI, through which he seeks to help students and educators encounter faith as an intellectual and spiritual adventure. He and his family reside in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

  • Nearly two decades of experience in Religious & Theological Studies, Enrollment Management, Alumni Relations, and Mission & Ministry.
  • Current faculty and administrator at St. Augustine Preparatory School (Richland, NJ).
  • Advisory Committee Member for the John Cardinal Foley Chair of Homiletics & Social Communications at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary (Philadelphia).​
  • Regular Contributor to the National Catholic Register and other Catholic publications.
  • ​International Trip Coordinator with DMAC Trips LLC, leading educational and pilgrimage travel abroad.
  • Ten-Time State Championship Rugby Coach, committed to forming character through sport.
